Out with the old, in with the new. They wanted $1150 to replace that, took me and a coworker 1 hour. Pfffft (got a little extra bread for taking on the project, too).

Tomorrow’s project! Replace a cracked section of decades old cast iron pipe with a length of NoHub iron. If anyone flushes a toilet while I’m working on it I will personally scrape out the old pipe and fling years worth of feces, sanitary napkins, and god knows what else on them.

Really, Canon Professional Services? A date book/dayplanner? What are you going to send next year, Canon branded dot-matrix printer cartridges?

It’s a hardwire trigger that will allow you to start/stop recording on a Red Epic from massive distances (up to several hundred feed away). When you depress the momentary switch it discharges the capacitor/sends a 10μF pulse down a BNC’D coaxial cable into a LEMO adapter into the control jack on the Epic and switches record mode off or on.
I’m going to suggest that nobody ever tries to bring it with their carry-on baggage.

JET BLACK CIRCUITBOARD. Yikes that’s hot.
You’re looking at the guts of a Tangent Devices Wave Board, it’s used for color correction in DaVinci, Apple Color, REDcineX, etc.

There’s also a scraper that compiles your “best of” (most notated) posts by month. Plug in your tumblr here.
And christ, I’ve been doing this for four and a half years?! Yeesh.

Data visualization of my time spent here, via this thinga-ma-jerb.
I’m curious to see if they add more breakdowns.
