and even though my mother is mexican and yaqui (native southwestern american), i’ve always preferred lakota/oglala/cree/et alia music the most. never really got into navajo or apache or creek and as far over to choctaw/cherokee. i guess it must something about winter in the rockies and great plains or the pow-wows we went to in minnesota when i was young.
