an ugly-ass bugle, schizophrenic guitar, and basslines like quivering, crusty sludge. some of the most whacked out (like angel dust whacked out) music that e’er came out of the pile of garbage the wind swept into the back corner of the busstop that used to be on washington avenue, the one you would catch the 16 at, you know, right around the corner from augie’s/the brass rail/gay 90’s. you’re not gonna like this at all … but then again, you likely listen to music that’s all polished and sparkley. not shit-caked guttermusic like this.

anyway, shannon selberg moved to nyc a bunch of years ago and is now the frontman for the heroine sheiks. he’s nuts on stage and i highly recommend catching one of their shows.
