my family got an apple ][+ when i was just a weedoofus. on it, the cursor had to be at the end of whatever you were typing or else it would cut out everything after it when you pressed return.

to this day i still automatically place the cursor at the end of whatever i’m writing before i commit it. i feel anxious if i don’t.
