my sunday morning project:

i was at the little store around the corner getting stuff yesterday and i realized that i should get some wooden spoons. they only had this $0.99 three-pack so i got it. this morning i used some 120 grit sandpaper and some 400 grit emery paper to smooth and shape one of ‘em, then i rubbed hot olive oil on it and baked it in the oven for 20 minutes at 375°F, then i did that about 3 more times until it was roasted to a nice golden brown. one more pass with the emery paper and another light coat of oil and into the oven for the last time and voilà: a perfectly seasoned wooden spoon that only cost $0.33!
