when i was 12 i saw a plate of this image for the first time. it’s lasting impact on me has been greater than any revelation or drug-revealed truth encountered to date. in some ways this image was my start (huge backstory behind this painting, too. didn’t know it when i saw it but buttresses were built after learning)
